Carla Brown
Carla discovered Pilates when she was fighting for her health after suffering from chronic lyme disease and fibromyalgia. She saw in her own body how this type of movement heals, so she knew she had to bring this movement to others.
Carla completed her first training in 2009 and opened The Pilates Club in Ohio in 2011. She trained comprehensively in 2012 (600 hours) with Power Pilates based in New York. Additionally, She has trained to be a senior teacher and teacher trainer with Power Pilates and has completed Kathi Ross Nash’s Pilates Professional Advanced Teacher Training Program. She has attended numerous workshops including two trainings on scoliosis. She has attended conferences with Jay Grimes, Bob Liekens, Mari Winsor, Kathi Ross Nash, Dana Santi, Brooke Siler, Chris Robinson, Peter Fiasca, Larry Gibas, and Moses Urbano.
Sadie Barwick
Sadie started her pilates journey by going with her family to Saturday
morning mat Pilates at BodyMind Balance in Cincinnati when she was 11 years old. In 2011, her mom and sister opened a Classical Pilates studio where she grew up taking classes. Starting Pilates at a young age showed her how beneficial Pilates is for the body, especially a growing body.
Sadie moved to Florida in 2020 and started taking sessions at St. Pete
Pilates. After graduating from college in 2021 she started her
her comprehensive training (600 hours) with Power Pilates based in New York. During her training she apprenticed at St. Pete Pilates and became certified in 2022. She continues her education with workshops and by taking private sessions from other instructors. Recently, Sadie attended an Empowering your Pregnancy workshop with Power Pilates and a postpartum workshop with Katie Yip and Dr. Kristen Lettenberger. Throughout her own pregnancy and postpartum she found movement to be very important and wanted to further her education on how to best teach pregnant and postpartum
clients. She currently teaches clients of all ages, all levels, all body types, and various special needs.
Bernadette Gross
Bernadette started taking Pilates classes from her mother and sister when she 14 years old, so she practically grew up in a Pilates studio. She would take as many classes from them as she was able to, so it was only natural for her to go through training to learn to teach.
Bernadette completed her comprehensive training (600 hours) in 2016 with Power Pilates based in New York. She taught for two years in Ohio prior to relocating to Florida. She continues her education with workshops and taking private sessions from other instructors as often as possible. Additionally, Bernadette has attended workshops with Kathi Ross Nash, Dana Santi, Chris Robinson, Larry Gibas, and Moses Urbano.
